About the Journal

Curricular Studies & Perspectives (CSP) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal focusing on research that reimagines curriculum in diverse educational contexts. The journal invites submissions that address the following areas:

  • Curriculum theory, design, and development across disciplines and cultural settings
  • Program evaluation and education policy with local or comparative perspectives
  • Intercultural learning and critical pedagogy promoting inclusive and transformative practices
  • Teacher education and professional learning aligned with emerging curriculum paradigms
  • Digital and innovative instructional strategies enhancing curriculum implementation
  • Applied and practice-based studies such as design-based, action, experimental, or quasi-experimental research
  • Interdisciplinary and comparative analyses connecting global and local curriculum perspectives

By bringing together theoretical inquiry and practical innovation, CSP seeks to contribute to more equitable, sustainable, and forward-looking understandings of curriculum.

Open Access Policy

CSP is a fully open-access journal. All accepted articles are published online and made freely available to readers worldwide without any subscription barrier. Authors retain copyright under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, allowing unrestricted reuse with proper citation.

There are no article processing charges (APC) or publication fees for authors.

Peer Review and Ethics

All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts. Reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the process.

CSP adheres to the principles of peer-review integrity, transparency, and ethical publication as outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
All manuscripts are checked for originality through plagiarism-detection software prior to review.

Peer Review and Publication Process

The evaluation of manuscripts submitted to Curricular Studies & Perspectives (CSP) proceeds through the following stages:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening
Each submission is first reviewed by the Editor to ensure its purpose, topic, content, and style align with the journal’s aims and requirements. Manuscripts deemed suitable are forwarded to the Section Editor, while those requiring major adjustments are returned to the authors for revision prior to resubmission.
  2. Section Editor Assessment
The Section Editor determines whether the manuscript should proceed to peer review or be returned to the authors for necessary corrections.
  3. Reviewer Selection and Evaluation
Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and experience in the relevant field. Each reviewer is given 20 days to complete their evaluation. If a reviewer cannot meet the deadline, they may request an extension or decline the invitation.
  4. Delayed Reviews
If a review is not submitted within the allotted period, a reminder is sent, granting an additional 10 days. Failure to respond within this extended timeframe may result in the review being withdrawn and reassigned to another referee.
  5. Conflicting Reviewer Reports
In cases where one referee recommends acceptance and another rejection, the Section Editor carefully evaluates both reports, comparing their arguments and evidence, and makes a decision based on the strength of the reasoning provided. If necessary, a third reviewer may be appointed to ensure a balanced decision.
  6. Decision Timeline and Notification
A final editorial decision is generally reached within 90–120 days from submission. Authors are promptly notified of the outcome.
  7. Publication
Upon acceptance, the article is scheduled for publication in the appropriate issue of CSP.
